KOTUG wins large Congo LNG deal

KOTUG International (KOTUG) has secured a pivotal contract with ENI Congo to deliver essential maritime services for the Congo LNG project, a major offshore venture in the Republic of Congo. This landmark project encompasses the Tango FLNG and the Excalibur Floating Storage Unit (FSU), with a second Floating LNG unit currently under construction.

As part of this contract, KOTUG will deploy three state-of-the-art Rotortugs to support various operations, including the mooring and unmooring of vessels, handling of mooring equipment, stand-by services, pilot transport, as well as antipollution measures, oilfield goods transport, and passenger transfers.

The Rotortug, renowned for its patented triangular propulsion design, ensures superior safety and precise manoeuvrability. Each tug delivers over 80 tons of Bollard Pull, utilising a unique propulsion system with three thrusters that enhance redundancy, reduce costs, and ensure faster, more reliable handling in all conditions.
