GAS HYBRID POWER FOR JAPANESE COASTAL BULKER
A gas engine developed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries is central to the hybrid propulsion system fitted in a Japanese limestone carrier due to be delivered next month. The purely gas-fuelled, L30KG reciprocating main engine will be complemented by a 2,847kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
