Rolls-Royce opens new mtu Series 2000 assembly plant

Rolls-Royce opened a new assembly plant for its mtu Series 2000 engines in Kluftern near Friedrichshafen, Germany on 23 June. The relocation of mtu Series 2000 engines production will free up space for the production of Series 4000 engines in Rolls-Royce’s Plant 2 in Friedrichshafen, once modernisation work is completed. 

The development of the new Kluftern production facility, which currently employs 110 people, has involved a EUR 30 million investment, including dedicated space for logistics and shipping.
