Auramarine to supply fuel systems for Meriaura’s new Ecotrader ships

Meriaura concept

Auramarine has announced it will deliver Diesel Fuel Oil (DFO) and Liquid Biofuel (LBO) supply systems for two new cargo vessels operated by Finnish shipping company Meriaura.

The systems will support operational reliability, performance, and safety aboard the vessels, which are being built by Royal Bodewes shipyard in the Netherlands.

The two ships, designated hull numbers BN832 and BN833, are part of Meriaura’s Ecotrader series, designed to minimise emissions while improving efficiency. These vessels will measure 105 metres in length, hold 6750 DWT, and carry a 1A ice-class rating. Compared to their EcoCoaster predecessors, the Ecotrader ships boast a 30% increase in capacity, delivering greater economic efficiency while reducing the environmental impact of transport.
