KR advances ammonia as maritime fuel
Korean Register has announced a duo of initiatives aimed at furthering the use of ammonia as a maritime fuel
The classification society has awarded approval in principle to Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for its 9,300 teu ammonia-fuelled container ship and signed a memorandum of understanding with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HD HHI) to develop an enhanced ammonia fuel supply system.
