Hycamite TCD Technologies, MOL Ltd and MOL PLUS Co Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote methane-splitting technology for marine power generation and propulsion.

The agreement, announced in October 2024, aims to harness Hycamite’s methane-splitting technology, which transforms methane into hydrogen and solid carbon through a low-temperature pyrolysis process.
