Osaka Gas and MHI team up on CCUS exploration

Osaka Gas and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are joining forces to develop carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technology, in an effort to achieve net-zero by 2050

The agreement aims to establish a ‘CO2 value chain’, including capturing and transporting the gas from Japan and using it to produce e-methane.

The project partners will explore capture methods of CO2 produced by ‘hard-to-abate’ industries such as steel, cement and the chemical industry
