Wallenius Wilhelmsen to integrate renewable fuels in $766 million contract

Ocean logistics company Wallenius Wilhelmsen has announced a landmark five-year agreement with a prominent global manufacturer in agriculture, forestry, and roadbuilding equipment. 

Commencing on December 1, 2024, this comprehensive logistics contract is projected to be worth approximately $766 million, based on expected shipment volumes over the contract term.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wallenius Wilhelmsen will deliver a predictable, long-term ocean capacity, aligned with market-standard rates. Significantly, the agreement also includes a pioneering partnership for decarbonization, which will see the customer invest in greener shipping methods by funding the phase-in of renewable and low-carbon fuels.
