Lehmann Marine and Sunlight partner for maritime battery initiative

Lehmann Marine, a Germany-based leader in maritime lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) battery systems, has entered into a significant investment agreement with Greece’s Sunlight Group.

Sunlight Group, a member of the Olympia Group, has over three decades of experience in manufacturing advanced lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. As a global leader in motive power batteries for intralogistics, including electric forklifts and energy storage systems for on-grid, off-grid, and residential applications, Sunlight brings extensive expertise to this strategic partnership.

Under the agreement, Sunlight will acquire a 51% stake in Lehmann Marine, reinforcing both companies’ positions in the rapidly growing maritime battery market. This collaboration is aligned with the global drive towards sustainable shipping solutions, as the industry seeks to reduce emissions and enhance operational efficiency.
