BIW building DDG 1000 lead ship

The U.S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works (BIW), a subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), a $1.4 billion contract to build ZUMWALT (DDG 1000). The ship is scheduled to be delivered to the Navy in 2014.
