California ARB reg could lead to propulsion failures

The Air Resources Board (ARB) in California has a proposed regulation under review that, if approved as expected, will require ocean going vessels to use low sulphur marine distillates in main engines, auxiliary engines, and auxiliary boilers beginning on 1 July, 2009 in regulated California waters.
