Halvard “Hal” Hauso, Chief Commercial Officer Corvus Energy has been confirmed as a speaker at propulsions and future fuels 2021
Hal will be speaking on day 2 during the session focused on alternative powering, more specifically electrification. Hal will use this opportunity to explain how technology develops to enable more and more vessels to reduce emissions from their operations, how one can prepare for future technology and the harmony between batteries and fuel cells.
Hal will explore the application in commercial shipping and across various sectors, in addition to the practical and technical aspects related to Rotor Sail performance and installation. This includes sharing our research into the best trade routes for Rotor Sails and exploring the how the technology affect EEDI and EEXI scores.
Hal brings over 30 years of industrial marine business development experience to Corvus Energy. Having served six years as Senior Vice President at Rolls-Royce Marine leading the Power Electric System department, and as CEO at Scandinavian Electric Systems before it was bought by Rolls-Royce. Hal has held previous senior management positions in the marine industry at Rolls-Royce Marine, Scandinavian Electric Systems, TTS, ABB and Mjellem & Karlsen.
