Construction/pipelay vessel to be retrofitted with ESS

Bakker Sliedrecht has been awarded its largest contract as a system integrator to install an energy storage system on board Seven Arctic, Subsea7's heavy construction / flex-lay vessel.

Subsea7 has ordered an energy storage system from Bakker Sliedrecht for Seven Arctic, believed to be the first heavy construction / flex-lay vessel in the world to be equipped with such a system.
