Incat to launch largest ever electric vessel

Incat Tasmania is set to launch Hull 096 on 2 May 2025, marking a historic milestone as the largest battery-electric ship ever constructed and the most extensive electric vehicle of its kind.

The vessel, destined for South America, represents one of Australia’s most significant maritime export achievements. Incat chairman Robert Clifford described the launch as the most important in the company’s four-decade history, highlighting its impact on the maritime industry and sustainable transport.
