- Aude Leblanc, Technology leader - Sustainable shipping, Bureau Veritas Group
Bureau Veritas has released new-generation classification rules for wind propulsion systems to help support and drive the development of zero carbon propulsion options for modern ships. Aude is responsible for BV’s development of the rules for Wind Propulsion Systems (NR206) and sits on various marine renewable committees. Coupled with a Master Engineer Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aude will give invaluable contribution to this session.
- Roger Strevens VP, Global Sustainability, Wallenius Wilhelmsen
Roger represents the Group’s interests in maritime environmental policy, helping to drive sustainability collaborations with industry partners, customers and innovators. Working to build a ‘Lean:Green’ sustainability culture in the Group, Roger also ensures financial stakeholders’ evolving needs are met, including through the Group’s reporting activities. With the theme of this session focussed on the future of WindPower and Windassisted Propulsion.
- Jarkko Väinämö, Chief Operating Officer, Norsepower
Jarkko has worked for Norsepower since 2013. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the operations, technology, R&D and product management. He is an experienced product developer and has worked with renewables and clean-tech since 2001. He has previously worked as Director of Engineering at Winwind, the first Finnish multi-megawatt wind turbine manufacturer.
- Vincent Bernatets, CEO & co-founder, Airseas
Vincent specialized in advanced automatics at Sup’Aéro (ISAE) and Stanford University, speaks 5 languages. He is a sailboat skipper and former pilot of single-engine aircraft. Before founding Airseas, M. Bernatets worked internationally as a development engineer in aeronautics, before becoming a manager on the development of the A380. Today he combines his three passions and competencies – engineering, sailing and the environment, to develop and grow Airseas and its revolutionary Wind-Assisted-Propulsion-System : Seawing
