K Line and Hilcorp Alaska have teamed up to explore the feasibility of a carbon capture and storage project in Alaska, marking a significant step in international cooperation on cross-border CCS

his joint study agreement will see CO2 aggregated in Japan before transportation via large liquefied CO2 carriers to Alaska for sequestration.

This collaboration is the first of its kind between a Japanese company and US partners and aligns with both governments aims to commercialise the project.
