Heatmaster, a trailblazing Dutch company, is revolutionizing the maritime industry by offering highly tailored heating solutions to shipowners.

Specializing in engine room and cargo heating systems, Heatmaster ensures that each solution is custom-designed to meet the specific needs of their clients. But their innovations don’t stop at basic heating systems — Heatmaster is also leading the charge in sustainability, using cutting-edge technology to help reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions across the maritime sector.

One of their standout technologies is the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) heat recovery system. ORC captures waste heat from the vessel and converts it into usable power, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. This not only helps shipowners save on operating costs but also significantly lowers their environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions.

Heatmaster’s commitment to sustainability goes even further through their involvement in the Maritime Masterplan ME2CC consortium. In partnership with Value Maritime, they provide heat recovery systems with ORC that complement CO2 capture technology, enabling ships to capture CO2 without the typical fuel penalty. This innovative approach is setting new standards in the industry and moving the maritime sector closer to achieving its sustainability goals.

Heatmaster Partners in Groundbreaking ME2CC Project to Drive Maritime Decarbonization

Heatmaster is proud to announce its participation in the Maritime Efficient & Easy Carbon Capture (ME2CC) project, which has received funding from the Maritime Masterplan 2024. This funding will contribute to the development, construction, and demonstration of an innovative, compact modular carbon capture system.

In addition, Heatmaster is playing a crucial role in the LNG bunkering sector by supplying their Gas Combustion Unit (GCU) solution to LNG bunkering vessels. The GCU is essential for maintaining the proper pressure in LNG cargo tanks, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Heatmaster’s GCU technology is another example of their commitment to providing solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the maritime industry.

“The cooperation with Heatmaster is very smooth; their GCU helps us to control the Boil Off Gas and burn the Vapor Return that comes from the vessel we are bunkering”. - Peter Maes of LNG Shipping, owner of the Energy Stockholm

The Energy Stockholm is the most recent inland LNG Bunkering vessel using the Heatmaster GCU solution.

”We see big growth in the LNG Bunkering market, where LNG Shipping is a front runner. Nowadays more and more ship owners are selecting our GCU as their preferred solution for BOG and Vapor Return handling”. - Pieter Borg, CCO of Heatmaster

With its focus on advanced, tailor-made solutions and a dedication to reducing the maritime sector’s environmental footprint, Heatmaster is not just delivering innovative systems — they are shaping the future of a greener, more efficient maritime industry.
