TMC bags major contract from Irving Shipbuilding

Christian Ness CEO TMC

TMC Compressors (TMC) has secured a contract from Irving Shipbuilding to supply a marine compressed air system for two new Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) being built for the Canadian Coast Guard.

Under this agreement, TMC will deliver a full marine compressed air system, including compressors for service and control air, for each of the AOPS vessels. Although TMC has not disclosed the contract’s value, the company has expressed enthusiasm for supporting the project.

Christian Ness (pictured), CEO of TMC, highlighted that as a Norway-based supplier, TMC is proud to work with Irving Shipbuilding, indirectly supporting the Canadian Coast Guard and contributing to strengthening Canadian-Norwegian ties. His statement reflects the alignment between the Canadian and Norwegian coast guards, which entered into a cooperative agreement last year aimed at enhancing marine safety and environmental protection.
