Wärtsilä retrofits advanced reliquefaction systems
Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is to supply reliquefaction systems for retrofit installation on board floating storage regasification units owned by Excelerate Energy
The order comprises Wärtsilä’s Compact Reliq Double units, which are based on the reversed Brayton cycle technology which reliquefies boil-off gas, returning it to the cargo tanks, reducing emissions.
The system is also fitted with applications to minimise maintenance and operational costs.
