EU probes German shipyard aid

The European Commission has launched an investigation into proposed government subsidies of euro5.8 million ($6.9 million) to two German shipyards to ensure it complies with EU rules on state aids. The probe concerns aid to the Rolandwerft and Volkswerft Stralsund yards.
