DNV has identified carbon-neutral fuel supply constraints as a key challenge for the maritime sector, as the sector is likely to encounter tough competition for greener fuels from other sectors. As a result, the new 2030 maritime emission targets hang in the balance, according to the latest edition of DNV‘s Maritime Forecast to 2050. This increases the importance of considering all alternative approaches to reducing emissions.
