First reference for Framo’s new Submerged Turbine technology
Yinson Production, the FPSO contractor, has agreed a contract with Framo AS to use its new Submerged Turbine technology. The order was placed in Q3 2022 represents the first reference for the technology with an offshore operator.
By utilising Framo’s Submerged Turbine technology for regenerating energy from the waste cooling water flowing from offshore installations, Yinson Production will reduce its carbon footprint, cut CO2 taxes, and enable increased gas exports.
