For over 30 years, Shipnet, a Norwegian maritime technology company, has played a role in transforming the shipping industry with its advanced software solutions. As Niall Jack, the company’s product development director, puts it, “We have a big share of the market for software onboard vessels and in shipping company offices. We’ve been here for 30 years and really understand shipping and the shipping market.” This deep understanding of the maritime industry saw Shipnet voted one of the top maritime analytics companies in the world alongside the likes of ABB and Wärtsilä earlier this year.

The company covers a wide range of critical maritime functions, from “the asset management piece, which is technical procurement, safety, and the accounting,” according to Niall. This end-to-end approach allows shipping companies to streamline their operations using Shipnet’s platform. As Niall notes, “If you start a shipping company, we can provide every piece of software.”
