MSC places 10 x 10,300 teu order with Zhoushan Changhong
China International Marine Containers (CIMC) has placed an order with Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard in China for 10 x 10,300 teu container vessel newbuildings, according to Chinese language social media posts by the shipyard. The vessels will be equipped with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on LNG, and will be operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

Udo Lange has been appointed chief executive officer at Stolt-Nielsen, with effect from 1 September 2023. Lange replaces Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen who has been in post for 23 years. Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Stolt-Nielsen Limited from 1 September 2023.

UK Naval/Commercial Tanker Interaction
Replenishment at sea (RAS) operations were recently completed between a UK-owned handysized tanker and a unit of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). The trials saw fuel exchanged in both directions with the ships under way, and were conducted off the south coast of England by James Fisher Tankships’ 35,200dwt product carrier Raleigh Fisher and the 32,000dwt RFA fleet tanker Tideforce.
