Alfa Laval to supply LFSS for first boxship MeOH-conversion project
A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has specified Alfa Laval’s fuel supply system FCM Methanol for the first methanol retrofit project on a container vessel.
The project to enable the main mover of the Maersk Halifax to operate on methanol fuel demonstrates the feasibility of retrofitting ships with the necessary equipment for methanol-based propulsion, and also represents a significant achievement for both Alfa Laval and Maersk.
