Global methanol supplier OCI Global has announced that it will conduct the methanol bunkering operations for Maersk’s newbuilding 2,100teu container vessel on its first voyage from South Korea to Europe.

OCI will provide ISCC certified green biomethanol produced from Municipal Solid Waste over the maiden voyage of Maersk’s first dual-fuelled container ship. Upon arrival in Europe, the vessel is expected to service the Baltic shipping route between northern Europe and the Bay of Bothnia.
