DNV releases ship recycling guidance

DNV has released new guidance on safe and sustainable ship recycling, ahead of the Hong Kong International Convention, which comes into force on 26 June 2025

The classification society’s ‘Safe and Green Recycling for Ship Owners’ outlines how to meet the upcoming regulation as well as the existing EU Ship Recycling Regulations.

The HKC, which will take effect in 2025 with full compliance required by 2030, applies to ships of 500 gross tonnage or more.
