MOL launches net-zero emissions programme

MOL has launched a new initiative aimed at achieving net-zero emissions by reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions for shippers and non-vessel operating common carriers using ocean transport services

The Blue Action Net-Zero Alliance programme focuses on offering and enhancing low-emission marine transportation using alternative fuels, developed through collaboration with marine transportation stakeholders.

In February 2024, MOL became the first Asia-Pacific shipping company to issue environmental attributes certificates for low-emission voyages which use alternative fuels.
