OrbitMI, a provider of vessel performance solutions, has teamed up with Maritime Data, a maritime data specialist, to improve the quality of AIS data used in its platform. The collaboration aims to deliver more accurate and reliable data for clients, enabling better business decision-making.

AIS data is a cornerstone for analysing vessel performance metrics such as fuel consumption. However, the vast volume and varying quality of data available from different providers can pose challenges for data users. OrbitMI and Maritime Data have developed a rigorous evaluation process to identify the most suitable AIS data sources.
