The non-spherical Moss tank under development by Kawasaki is said to offer similar reliability and greater cargo capacity

An non-spherical LNG tank from Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) that offers the reliability of traditional, spherical Moss tanks but with a 15% increase in capacity has received approval in principle (AiP) from DNV GL.
