With the Blohm+Voss welcome reception and GE Marine conference dinner well supported, the conference provided the platform not only to be updated on the latest cost saving technologies but also the opportunity to make new acquaintances and network with leading owners and operators from around the world.
Taking place at the exclusive “Hafen-Klub” (Habour Club) located in Hamburg Harbour close to the St. Pauli Landungsbruecken, delegates were treated to stunning views of the river Elbe at the welcome reception and the Klub also overlooks the Blohm+Voss docks. The noise level indicated the networking had got off to an excellent start with delegates greeting many old friends whilst also making new contacts.
The networking continued long into the night at the 2017 conference dinner, held at BlockBrau, Hamburg. Always an opportunity to meet more like-minded people from the industry, this year’s event once again proved to be a great success with delegates, speakers and sponsors. The relaxed environment of the BlockBrau, combined with the stimulus of a number of panel discussions at the first day of the P&E Conference, provided the ideal ambience for participants to continue networking and discussing some of the topical issues raised during the day’s proceedings.
Participants at this year’s event, which included more than 25 leading operators, spent the evening enjoying good food and excellent company, and many took the opportunity to sample the excellent house weisse beer.
