Combining wind propulsion and AI to drive up efficiency
Norsepower and Syroco have partnered up to combine wind propulsion and AI vessel monitoring, which has achieved 21% fuel savings and emission reductions onboard the tanker Alcyone.
The collaboration combines Norsepower’s Rotor Sails with Syroco’s advanced AI data platform, offering shipowners real-time insights to optimise routes by balancing wind propulsion with environmental factors like waves and currents.
