NAPA boosts wind propulsion savings
NAPA is to deploy its voyage optimisation software on board two vessels equipped with Norsepower Rotor Sails, helping maximise energy savings
The deal covers two IINO Lines vessels - one very large gas carrier and one Panamax coal carrier.
Once they begin using NAPA Voyage Optimization to simulate and evaluate the optimal route and speed, emissions reductions are likely to increase to up to 10%, find initial studies.
