Wärtsilä wins bulk carrier engine retrofit double

Wärtsilä is to upgrade RT-flex main engines on two bulk carrier vessels in a retrofit project expected to deliver potential CO2 emissions savings of over 1,500 tonnes annually.

The planned engine retrofits and upgrades for Ulusoy 11 and Ulusoy 12, owned by Turkey’s Ulusoy Sealines, will extend the vessels’ operational life and improve both performance and fuel efficiency.
