WinGD completes new 2-stroke engine tests
WinGD has completed type approval and factory acceptance testing of its new medium-bore 2-stroke engine
Tests at Yuchai Marine Power have confirmed performance and compliance of the X52-S2.0, while the prototype project validated ease of assembly and maintenance.
The company reports that tests have shown a fuel reduction over the equivalent RT-flex engine of around 10k per kWh, a saving of around 4% depending on operating profile.
