Wärtsilä has inked a deal for replacement engines for two inland waterway tug pusher vessels operating in Paraguay’s rivers

The vessels, owned by ADM Naviera Chaco will undergo modifications and engine installations in Asuncion, Paraguay. The two vessels, the Decatur Lady and the Tendota, will each be fitted with three Wärtsilä 20 engines.

The new fuel-flexible Wärtsilä 20 engines will reportedly reduce environmental impact and improve the efficiency of the tug pushers.
