Scandlines orders two new ferries

In 2012 the Rostock-based Scandlines will put two new ferries into service on the Gedser - Rostock route doubling capacity. The new vessels, to be built by the German shipbuilder Volkswerft Stralsund, will offer a capacity for 460 cars, or 90 trucks (approximately 1,600 lane metres), and 1,500 passengers.
