Single-fuel LNG engines for new catamarans

The high-speed, single-fuel MTU 4000 engines on the new vessels will enable more efficient LNG operations than dual-fuel engines, according to Triyards

Triyards subsidiary Strategic Marine has been awarded a €44 million contract to build two aluminium catamaran ro-pax ferries powered by single-fuel LNG engines, for Dutch owner Royal Doeksen.
