Surveys and certificates harmonised
To allow harmonisation, shipsÕ certificates can be renewed up to three months early and extensions of up to three months can also be granted. The maximum period of certification had been limited to five years for all cargo vessel certificates, and one year for Passenger Safety Certificates.
