Rob Van Solingen, European Sales Director - Marine and Stationary Power. GE Transportation, Wabtec, will be discussing how The MS Amadea retrofit meets IMO III emission regulations. Join Rob at Propulsion & Future Fuels on Day 1 session 2, to learn more.

MS Amadea, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan in 1991, is an important vessel in the Phoenix Reisen fleet. In order to give MS Amadea a sustainable future, Bernard Schulte Cruise Services (BSM CS) was assigned to bring together the best solutions in meeting the IMO III regulations by repowering the vessel. This resulted in the unique collaboration between the partners: Phoenix Reisen, BSM CS, C-Job Naval Architects, Wabtec company and VMS Group. Together, the companies are responsible for redesigning the powering systems, using new technology equipment, to give the fantastic result of lowering emissions and saving of fuel and meeting IMO III requirements.

Rob has a degree in marine engineering and a strong background and experience in product management, marketing and commercial operations for the global marine industry. Rob is employed by Wabtec Corporation and is the Sales Director in Marine and Stationary Power products for the European markets.
