Danish tanker operator Tärntank is set to embark on a pioneering trial of the OVERSEA services, a collaborative initiative between ABB and Wallenius Marine, across its fleet of six vessels.

This trial aims to unlock new opportunities for enhancing operational performance by closely monitoring and optimising key systems, including the engine, hull, propeller, and auxiliary systems.

Additionally, the trial will focus on the forecasting and monitoring of the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), a critical metric for sustainable shipping. Tärntank will also have access to shore-based expertise to support these efforts as needed.
