Artemis Technologies wins Swedish Maritime Administration contract

Artemis Pilot

Artemis Technologies has secured a contract to supply the Swedish Maritime Administration (SMA) with a fully electric Artemis EF-12 pilot boat.

This vessel represents a major step in Sweden’s drive to achieve a fossil-free maritime sector, in line with the Fossil-Free Sweden Initiative and the nation’s ambitious climate goals.

Powered by Artemis’ innovative eFoiler® system, the EF-12 will be the first 100% electric pilot boat to operate in Nordic waters. The vessel will support the SMA’s mission to provide safe, efficient, and sustainable maritime transport, delivering essential pilotage services for ships navigating Sweden’s busy offshore shipping lanes. This initiative aligns with Sweden’s broader target of reaching net-zero emissions in the maritime industry by 2045.
