Daewoo Shipbuilding will build a hull block factory in Yantai, China, which will be operational from 2007. It will have a capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes in 2007 and 300,000 tonnes from 2016. HHI secures NITC order
Hyundai Heavy Industries has secured an order for eight tankers from NITC (National Iranian Tanker Company). The contract consists of four 317,000DWT VLCCs and four 164,000DWT Suezmax tankers.
