Avance Gas has taken up an option for two 40,000 cbm LPG/ammonia carrier newbuildings with Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE). The dual-fuel newbuildings will be powered by engines capable of operating on either LPG or compliant fuel oil, the ship owner confirmed.

NewsStrain On Damen’s Romanian Links
Dutch group Damen has been compelled to give up management and operational control of the Mangalia shipyard, Romania’s largest shipbuilder and the biggest in Damen’s international network. NewsChevron broadens collaboration with Cummins into biofuels
Chevron’s US subsidiary Chevron U.S.A. Inc., signed a memorandum of understanding with Cummins on 10 August extending the scope of an existing 2021 strategic collaboration agreement to cover biofuels, including renewable natural gasoline blends and biodiesel. The new agreement is intended to encourage the commercial and industrial adoption of the fuels in North America.
