We were established in 1981 out of innovation, and innovation remains at the heart of our business today. Each inspection requires a degree of engineering ,sometimes an inspection poses us problem. But, using our in-house design capability we can custom design a system that overcomes the problem and supply skilled operators to carry out the challenging inspection.
We have been certified by Germainscher Lloyd as approved firm engaged in thickness measurements of hull structures on vessels. The company were assessed regarding our capability of taking and reporting thickness measurements in accordance with the requirements of the society. We were delighted to receive the certification as it continued to develop our inspection capabilities which were already vast.
Our operators are trained and hugely experienced in undertaking a number of inspections from locating gas emissions to carrying out a void inspection. We have a large amount of inspection technologies relevant to determining the condition of the hull structure. Ships are in many cases required to have regular thickness surveys for maintenance and insurance purposes. We believe that a regular inspection will ensure that the vessels structure is not only monitored but maintained.
To assess the overall condition of the subject in the majority of cases we will select an ultrasonic thickness gauge. This is a non destructive form of inspection, ensuring the survey will be carried out in the most efficient way. This also results in little to no down time for the subject. It provides a clear read out of the measurement of the hull, which we can then compile into a detailed report. As well are carrying out a UT survey are inspectors will also carry out a visual inspection, which will help identify any other areas of concern.
If areas of corrosion are identified then we have the capabilities to inspect these further, if requested. Small hard to access voids can be explored using our borescopes or video probe technology, this will provide a clear picture of the condition of the vessel. Also using our thermographic cameras we can very quickly identify any areas where heat is escaping from the vessel, this may be an early indication of faults in the structure.
