Propulsion and Future Fuels is the leading conference on the latest developments in efficient propulsion technology and low flashpoint, low carbon fuels.
Taking place in Hamburg from 25-27 November, it will once again be ably chaired by two leading industry figures, Lars Robert Pederson, Deputy Secretary General of BIMCO and Dr Markus Munz, Managing Director of VDMA Large Engines.
Lars Robert has been an enduring contributor to the conference, heading up the proceedings for over 10 years. He is an expert on maritime technology and maritime regulation – particularly in relation to the environment, fuel and safety, frequently attending IMO meetings on BIMCO’s behalf. He started his maritime career as an engineer in container giant Maersk, finally as chief engineer, before he was made Director of Maersk’s regulatory affairs. He has been with BIMCO since 2010.
Dr Markus Munz joined VDMA in July 2022, as a project manager engines and systems with special emphasis on Power-to-X. Additionally, he is now Managing Director of VDMA Large Engines – CIMAC Germany. He studied Mechanical and Process engineering at TU Darmstadt in Germany and holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Process Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mechanics, as well as a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
Both Chairmen will preside over a wealth of expert speakers, guiding the conference sessions and promoting lively discussion to ensure delegates get the most out of this leading conference and annual gathering of key people in the sector.
