VDMA’s President Bertram Kawlath is calling for a swift formation of a government with a clear economic policy in order to secure the competitiveness of Germany and Europe as a business location.
The largest network organisation and voice for the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry in Germany and Europe is a key supporter of the Propulsion and Future Fuels conference, taking place in Hamburg from 25-27 November.
Following the recent elections in Germany President Kawlath says, “We congratulate Friedrich Merz and the CDU/CSU on their election victory…. The machinery and equipment manufacturing industry needs attractive framework conditions. Only with innovation, investment and lower corporate taxes will we return to economic strength in Germany and Europe. Germany must finally take on a formative role in Europe again in order to overcome the global challenges together. The VDMA expects the new government to take decisive measures for a strong economy, openness to technology and close European cooperation”.
Innovation and investment are at the heart of the Propulsion and Future Fuel conference which provides senior executives with a meeting place to learn, discuss and share knowledge of the latest developments in efficient propulsion technology and low flashpoint, low carbon fuels.
VDMA represents 3,600 German and European mechanical and plant engineering companies. The companies employ around 3 million people in the EU-27, more than 1.2 million of them in Germany alone.
