Four leading experts will give their updates at the two-day Propulsion and Future Fuels conference taking place on 19 to 21 November in Hamburg.
They join the Keynote Panel, moderated by Lars Robert Pedersen, Deputy Secretary General, BIMCO, which will get the conference underway.
Dr. Harry Conway is chair of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at the IMO. He has also served as chair of several steering committees of the MEPC, including for the Comprehensive Impact Assessment on States of IMO GHG Short-Term Measures; the IMO 4th Greenhouse Gas Study, and the Review of compliant fuel oil availability, as per Regulation 14.8 of MARPOL Annex VI.
Manfred Lebmeier is Senior Environmental Advisor to Hamburg Port Authority. His main area of work is onshore power and the Green Deal with the Fit for 55 package.
Rasmus Stute is a naval architect with a wealth of experience across the shipping sector. He is now Area Manager Germany with DNV, supporting the local maritime industry’s transition to a greener and more efficient future.
Theodore Talbot, Head of Climate Finance & Economics at Zero Carbon Shipping will lend his financial expertise to the panel. Amongst other roles, Theo was previously a senior economist and innovative finance lead at the World Bank.
